If I sound stunningly inarticulate at times in this review, I can’t help it. My mind is completely fried. This book is like the dystopian Lord of the Rings, with its richly developed culture and economics, not to mention a fully developed language called Newspeak. This would genuinely be one of the most remarkable novels readers would ever read.

 

 

The author has shown great command in the novel, this is extraordinary, in every sense of the word, just the depth of this book is spectacular, not to mention the diversity and representation and writing quality and complex characters. Everything is just outstanding. The author has shown the same level of skill in previous books or rather more anti-language, whose purpose is to limit speech and understanding instead of enhancing and expanding it. The world-building is so fully fleshed out and spine-tinglingly terrifying that it’s almost as if the author traveled to such a place, escaped from it, and then just wrote it all down.

 

 

 

I am still dipping my toes into the literal fiction pool, finding what works for me and what doesn’t. Books like this are definitely my cup of tea. This book proves how important it is to provide diversity, the difference in the believability and intricacy of the story is incredible. A lot is revealed over the course of the book, and the best part is just being surprised at each twist and turn, the author has a huge command of language and seamlessly shifts from first-person present tense to first-person past tense and even to second-person.
